Safe sub-4:00 strategy
Now, really, anyone at all should be able to get under 3:00 using the strat that most people use at the moment. This strat is not for those people. If you're REALLY stuck on this level, i.e. haven't completed it yet, or you have 10:00 and are aiming for literally anything better than 5:00 to get into the Five-Minute Club, then this is the strat for you. Guaranteed better than 5:00 with the absolute bare minimum of effort and health risk. Anyone can do it.
Turn around from the start and get on the hoverbike (make sure you activate it in the previous level). Carry on in that direction and take out the three guards with your Falcon, and collect all their ammo and weapons. Get off the bike near the log and walk across. Trundle across the wasteland to the hole in the far corner ignoring Elvis, because you don't need him yet. Get out your Remote Mines as you get there and head down. Wait in the corner overlooking the place where the Prez is and when you see the first two sentries, chuck a mine and press A & B to detonate it mid-air and blow them up without killing the President. Wait a bit longer for the next two and blow them up as well.
Run down as soon as the explosion finishes, select Unarmed and disarm Trent to get his DY357-LX. Run back out the way you cam making sure you have the President in tow. Now run ahead of him leaving him far behind to Elvis, and carry on past Elvis back to the log. This way the Prez will probably rendezvous with Elvis by himself.
Cross the log again and zoom off on your hoverbike. Go around to get the President Scanner and then around the block to activate the beacon. Don't bother shooting anybody as you'll be moving so fast they can't catch up.
After activating the beacon carry on across the plain and through the small "corridor", then down the cliff to the dark caves. Select your K7 Avenger, turn on your Night Vision, and get off the bike as you arrive inside. Go to the right of the big central pillar and shoot the Blonde who hides against the left wall. Carry on until you can just see the clone President in the middle of the guards to your left, and the hole in the wall is to your right.
Shoot the clone, reload, and run through the hole. There are a bunch of guards who you need to shoot on the way past. Don't be too slow or the Blondes will catch up with you as you follow the cliff path around to the right.
Turn on the K7's Threat Detector if you haven't already, and use it to find the first drone gun by the crash site of the Skedar ship. If you're low on health, take out the other one too, then run straight at the ship with your gold Magnum out. Shoot it once to blow it up. The level ends almost immediately afterwards.
