=== Rules ===
Welcome to the Super Mario Odyssey Bingo Tournament! The tournament is open to players of all skill levels. The category is Triple Bingo. The rules to Triple Bingo is to fill out 3 rows/columns of the bingo card generated for the match. To participate you will need to be able to stream your gameplay. SpeedRunsLive.com will be used for the official timing, however admins may make exceptions depending on the situation. Please familiarize yourself with the rules there. You will be expected to join a Discord server (https://discord.gg/TPSmwTW), which we will use as our main source of communication. The matches will be streamed, with commentary, to the SpeedGaming Twitch channels (twitch.tv/SpeedGaming, SpeedGaming2, SpeedGaming3, SpeedGaming4).
Couple of race rules:
1. Racer is finished once they have completed 3 total rows/columns/diagonals (for example, 2 rows and 1 diagonal are completed).
2. Clips are banned UNLESS both racers allow it for their race.
3. Racers MUST mark their goal on the bingo card. A commentator will help verify the card but it is the racers' responsibility.
Players may choose when they want to do their matches -- you have April to May to schedule your group-stage matches, so you may choose what times/days your matches occur.
The tournament format is Round Robin with 4-person groups, followed by a single elimination bracket. Players are divided into groups of 4. All players in that group play each other. The top 2 players in each group advance to the second stage (single elim). Ties are broken by (1) number of wins vs tied participants, followed by (2) fastest time in the tournament. Seeding into the Round Robin stage is done by PB rank according to the Speedrun.com Leaderboards when signups close. Runners with no PB will be randomized and placed at the bottom of the seeding. Runners who want to submit a PB that is not on the leaderboard must contact the tournament organizers with a video before the deadline.
The semi-finals, finals, and bronze matches will be "best of 3" -- a player must win 2 races against their opponent (so either 2 or 3 races will be played).
Since Super Mario Odyssey is so new, the organizers reserve the right to modify the category rules in response to new glitches, discoveries, and updates. We will announce any changes in the Discord server.
