Marius "Holy Moly" Mollenhauer is one of the best Mario Kart Double Dash players and comes from Germany. He has been 60Hz champion since October 2004 (over 3 years).

Marius was also combined champion in mid-2005, and even though the title race between him, Jonathan Steel and Raphaël Ségas was a photo-finish, many considered him to be the stronger competitor at the time because he plays exclusively in 60Hz. He went inactive after becoming overall world champion (because he had to join the German Army for almost a year), and soon lost many places in the rankings. Oliver Peruch was the only 60Hz player during the last 2 years who was able to challenge Marius (30 WRs -> 9 WRs). But he made an impressive comeback in 2006 and has now 10 60Hz WRs with a very low AF of 2.21.

Furthermore, he is a frequent visitor to the Netherlands (several times a year, since 1999), and eventually caught the Crazy Dutch PR Smash Virus. He returned to Germany with renewed conviction to set new records and defend his 60Hz Champion sticker.

Marius is famous in the karting community for his bravado and his humourous videos of his drunken philosophical lectures (Drunk Holy Moly Smash). His life philosophy involves something to do with not taking things too serious, drinking a serious amount of German beer, and snacking a serious amount of German chicks. Some dislike his arrogance, but Marius is always true to his character and doesn't pretend to be things he is not. Besides, he may have good reasons to be proud - he's been a competitive gamer since 1997, and has held WRs in Wave Race 64, Fisherman's Challenge and Gran Turismo 3. Furthermore, he contested the Super Mario 64 16-star speedrun with a sub-19 minute time (WR), and is also ranked 174th in GoldenEye by The Elite (his times are from 1998).

He is also playing Solitaire, and is ranked #16 in the International Solitaire Rankingwith a time of 21 seconds.

Some weeks ago he decided to play a bit SMK and MK64, and submitted timesets for both games.

Outside of kart, Marius is known for recently spending some time in the German army. So he probably knows kung-fu. Or at least, he knows a lot about semi-automatic guns, and waking up at 4am for drills. But that can't be too hard for a disciplined man like Marius, who shrugs it all off with an "easy peasy lemon squeezy".
