Even though he is naturally very competitive, Michael is never selfish when it comes to sharing strategies, as he considers it important to improve the overall strength of times in the game, not just his own. He often explains strategies to people through AIM (mjf345) or MSN (mjf345_at_hotmail_dot_com), and sometimes posts detailed strategies on the forum without even being asked. In all 5 Karts he's played, he's had a very good history of providing plenty of video proof.

Michael is a top karter in [[MK64]] and [[MKDS]], and decent in [[SMK]] and [[MKDD]], and has thereby earned the title of [http://www.mariokart64.com/combinedranks/ best all-round karter]. However, he was recently passed by [[Sami Cetin]] when MKSC was added to these rankings, so Michael recently started playing [[MKSC]] in order to get some extra combined MK points to reclaim his title. He is doing well so far, and is already ranked 5th. He will be the combined MK world champion next time the chart is updated.

Since Michael started playing MKSC, he hasn't been spending as much time on MKDS, but he's still playing it a little. Michael is a former world champion in MKDS, for about the first 3.5 months after the game's release (at one time even holding all 64 [[WR]]s at once) until he lost his title to [[Miguel Rodriguez]]. He finally reclaimed his title from Miguel for a short time until he lost it again to [[Thomas Bolton]]. He is currently ranked 3rd. Michael recently created and has been updating an [http://z9.invisionfree.com/MKDSWifiRatings/index.php?act=idx MKDS Wifi ranking site], where people can play rated Wifi games and receive a rating, with a rating system similar to the one used in chess. Surprisingly, Michael is ranked in last place in the Wifi rankings despite being so good at time trials, mostly due to his n00bish item skills. Michael is also good at mission mode, and is currently 1st place in missions on [http://cyberscore.net/group-1506.php Cyberscore].
