The secondary mode is a toxic arrow that causes instant death. Like with the Magnum LX and the Farsight, if the target is using a shield, the poison arrow will completely drain it but not kill the target, requiring a second shot.

A useful technique with this weapon is to hold R (or L) and the right (or left) C-button (yellow), then the character will run onto the same spot (like a immobile moonwalk). At the same time the aim of the target will move by millimeters so that when you shoot the arrows dont hit themselves but hit always the center of the target.
