A former Mario Kart 64 champion in both Non-Shortcut and Shortcut rankings, Alex never officially retired despite having been inactive since 2001. At his peak, he was the top universal/combined player for several years. Perhaps best known for his shortcut skills, Alex held some particularly long-standing records; notably CM flap, which stood for 5 years despite its suboptimal boost usage, and both the LR SC and CM SC course times, which were beaten after new shortcuts were found.

Outside of the Mario Kart series, Alex is a veteran of [[N64HS]] and Cyberscore. He holds or has held high-score records in many games in the Mario series, Zelda series, [[Pokemon Snap]], and Donkey Kong series, among others.
