Trent Hovis

Trent Hovis joined the elite in December 2002. He quickly rose up the ranks, peaking at third place in both points and time. He achieved 23 world records during his tenure, several of which were untied, and discovered the Trev shot on the night of his 15th birthday. This strategy took 22 seconds off the total mission time. Trent also played Perfect Dark for six months, broke the top ten in time, and achieved seven world records (three of which were untied).
Trent stopped speedrunning in 2005. Recently, in the two weeks he has owned Perfect Dark on Xbox Live, he reached third place in mission times on special and perfect agent and set seven untied world records.
Trent graduated in May 2010 from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. He is remaining at Case for another year to finish his accelerated Master of Science degree program in the same field. His thesis will deal with carbon nanotube growth mechanism analysis using gas chromatography on the product effluent.
Trent enjoys gaming, biking, swimming, and soccer. He was a state qualifier in swimming in 2006. While he rarely posts on the chat boards, Trent keeps in touch with several eliters and has attended five meets (Virginia 2007, 2008, 2009, Sweden 2009, and Orlando 2010).
