Matt Ellis played Mario Kart up until MK8's release and had submitted timesheets for SMK, MK64, MKSC, MKDD and MKDS. His best Mario Kart game is Mario Kart Super Circuit, where he was highest ranked 5th in the world with several world records at the time. He as of 12/07/2015 holds the world record for RKB1 Non-SC 5lap.

Matt made some contributions to the Mario Kart community in different ways. He did news and rivalry updating for the MKDS site, wrote news articles for MKSC, and did testing in MKSC to determine stats related to speed and acceleration. He also created a Super Mario Kart romhack called Super Mario Kart: Pro Edition, which can be found at http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/610/

Matt had been an active member of the Mario Kart community until his retirement in 2011. He has come back to try any new Mario Kart releases, but has not sent any time submissions to the community since 22/05/2011. Other than that, he is at the current time retired from Mario Kart other than the odd SRL race.
